A Daydream......

I call these daydreams they are short and sweet and i jot them down when im thinking about it..... here is one....

Mr. Darcy........

As I lay on my side and look through the rain clad window and watch the drops slowly make there way down the panes of glass making it looked blurred and wavy as if tears were wandering down a persons face.... the symbolism is there and i missed him and wanted him..........  I searched for him my whole life and dreamed of him and when i found him i took advantage of the time we shared.   now the person that i dreamed of finding is gone and i lay here alone.......

Oh The searching And Creating I Do...............

Oh the searches I do online daily for anything vintage or crafting and decorating ideas.  I couldn't begin to calculate how many hours go into searching for just the right inspiration that I so desperately need  to complete the master piece that is my studio or bedroom...... I have to admit that I am so very close to being finished........ but is anyone ever really finished completing their masterpiece?  I know when the time comes I will eventually redecorate everything that I have done!  but for now I can enjoy what I have done so far......

I recently redecorated my bathroom from the god awful red that it was.   I know some of you will gasp after reading that but please allow me to explain that the red that was in the bathroom did not fit the room.  Red is not fitting for a small bathroom in fact red or any other dark color is not fitting color for any room that is small.  I changed the color of my bathroom to a beautiful light blue with black accessories and chrome details(fixtures).  I chose a lovely black and white damask shower curtain black shelving and black wall decoration with white bath towels, black and white hand towels and blue wash clothes.  I have to say it looks lush and spa like and was a lovely change to an other wise blah and not so fitting bathroom.  (Pictures to come).

So on to my web find for all of you web junkies out there that are looking for cute hard to find items....... this a wonderful website that has beautiful stationary and wonderful art pieces and lovely cards and journals....... the website is papaya  (Click on the link for the website). here are the purchases that I recently made to make my boudoir complete.

Rest In Peace YOKO.......

Note: This happened 3weeks ago and everything has been replaced just wanted to share the story anyway!

This past weekend was a eventful weekend  filled with stress, anxiety and pleasure ( I know a weird combo!).  On Friday after i got off work (and i was counting the seconds)  i was going to sit out side and relax! I was determined to relax. As i tried to relax and write my comedic novel and listen to some tunes.... i was approached by a friend that i haven't hung out with in a very hot min. as i relaxed and hung out it came time to start thinking about what i was going to do with the rest of the evening and then it was decided!  due to the time of night we decided that we would hit up the local walmart and get a frozen pizza and watch a movie.  How pleasant and that it was until the realization happened when i pulled away from my friends house later that evening I reached into my pocket
and i could not locate my wallet!!! I rushed back to the door woke up my friends and realized looked a
ll around and realized that it wasn't there.  searched my car wasn't there! Frantic I drove back to walmart and it wasn't there either ....  This puts a small damper on things due to the fun filled weekend i had set up and without my wallet this would not happen!  By the time i got home it was nearly 4am and i was dog tired and realized if i was going make this a fun filled weekend and make it to Atlanta by 12 noon the next day i would have to be awake by 830am and out the door by 9am to make it to the dmv by 930am to get a new licence. then get to the bank to start canceling all of my cards.  This was sucky and i didn't want to do it but i had to.  i woke up at 830 started getting myself ready got out the door got to the dmv and went to the bank and was done all before 10am this was a relief.   I met up with my friend and we headed to the high museum and saw the monet exibit.  If you have the chance to see it go its worth it! its not a huge display but its a wonderful collection ......  I had everything i needed in my purse my sunglasses new licence and temp ATM card
camera pen and check book i was ready..... when we left the museum i went into my purse to retrieve my sunglasses that were much needed due to the blinding sun (when you have light eyes like i do the sun actually hurts) i realized that they were broken!! the lens had popped out due to the frame being broken not save able.... i was heart broken these were trademark glasses for me i gained the nickname Yoko due to the size and shape on my face
...... May you rest in eternal piece my sweet Yoko glasses you will be sadly missed (until i replace you).
(an update the glasses have yet to be replaced!)

SO..... on to Sunday.  I had some family and friends over to have a dip in the pool on this hot day.  and then the big plan was to head to L5P  to see a the Bon Iver show that I was desperate to see at variety..(this show was sold out which stunned the shit out of
me) .. but we thought that we might be able to get tickets if we headed down there (to my dismay so where a lot of other people....) after the disappointment. we parked to see if the store that i got my Yoko glasses was open and again with disappointment they were not.... then we headed to holy mother tattoo shop and i was going to get tattoos fixed covered up and added body art..... needless to say i didn't get that much needed craving for ink done due to the heat of the summer and time to think about what i really want... much to my surprise i have decided to fix my ankle butterfly and fill her in black (due to it being so old and the person who did do it did a terrible job) and do a trail of butterflies going all the way down to my ankle and right before the bottom of my foot in Bright pink white green and orange...... i also wanted to cover up my shoulder tattoo because again its a reminder of a mistake and something i should have thought about.... but i have decided to get a permanent henna paisley design in sepia tones with a colorful life like peacock feather coming out the bottom......... if I'm going to cover my body i want it to be beautiful and that people can take pleasure in looking at.... and with that my night drifted along with the muggy hot ga air and i hopped in my car and made my way home to crash and burn from that eventful weekend......................

I hope you all got a kick out of my story took me long enough to write it.....

JeWelRY UPDATE!!!!! I have made more pieces but have just been to lazy to take pictures or if i have to lazy to upload plus the memory on my mac is just about full(i find this to be amazing its mostly from itunes as well) but as soon as I'm not so tired and have time i will post all the pictures for you (i will do my best to get them up today at some point)........

Per Christy's request!!!! My Personal Style

Christy I have to say that the task that you laid out was proven difficult and I have been searching the web for hours (Approx. 3).  I must say like Christy I can't nail down just one type of style to be my own.  I like to think that I have an eclectic style about me where I can bring many styles into one.  This picture below brings in my love of pink,  a shabby chic look with the pictures, mirrors and there frames.  I love the chrome details of the appliances and accessories.  I love that the kitchen sink is cafeteria style....  I love when people re-purpose spaces into a place to live. I also am a fan of vintage religious paintings.
Tell me what you think!   I think that this space is almost dead on of what my personal style is.  I giggled when i saw that this is Betsy Johnson loft...  I love her designs so kitchy and fun.......

Its My Party and I Will Decorate How I Want To

As some of you may have know my 29Th birthday was last week!  My Friends and Family Gathered To My House To Help Me Celebrate..........
My friends thought that butterflies was an appropriate theme for my Birthday.  With that said I flew with it obviously Stating that I of course would be
doing the flowers and most of the decoration since that is my
profession anyway and it would be easier and more cost effective if i just went ahead and did the flowers and the decor for the party.
...(I know this takes most of the fun out for my friends on planning a party, but with any chance that i can freely express myself I'm going to; I don't get to do that often).
Here Are a few pictures of the decor from the party.....

The Dinning Room.
I made my own tissue flowers for the chandelier (it didn't make sense to pay 20 dollars for the Martha  Stewart ones at Micheal's).
The lanterns are the eyelet ones from Martha Stewart (I borrowed these from a friend).
The large butterfly on the lantern i hand cut these out of scrap book paper (I never use scrap book paper f
or what its for).
The vases are borrowed from work(its nice when you work someplace that you can borrow props like this without having to spend money.)
and the spheres i made out of carnations(descriptions will come later with a close up shot).

I choose Pink Yellow and Tangerine as the color palette for the flowers.
Carnations are one of my favorite flower to tell you the truth they come in more colors that you can think of and are VERY recession friendly.
I love Spheres i think its a beautiful clean and simple shape and design and the carnations just make it look like its covered in ruffles.
I don't get to use them that often but when i do i just smile when i look at them.
The vases i choose are pedestal round floater bowls that i turned upside down.
I put butterflies underneath the bowl so it gave it some interest and used up some negative space .  It made it look as though they were on display.
I tied different patterns of ribbon in the same color palette as the flowers on to the stem of the vase.  i also stuck the extra butterflies on the top o
f the spheres so it looked as if they were pollinating the flowers.

A closer pic of the spheres.

If you have ever been to my parents home then you know my mothers buffet is my favorite piece of furniture she owns.  We decorated it with dessert.
Cupcakes,  Cotton Candy in Pink and Yellow and Jars of Swirl Lollipops, Candy Necklaces and Rock Candy sticks in the same colors as everything else.

This is a closer shot of the Cupcakes that my good friend April made they were vanilla cupcakes with vanilla butter cream with a ruffle detail on the icing
and i bought laser cut paper butterfly cupcake wrappers to go around them.  the cupcake toppers were made by myself and my best friend Roni.

The Mantle in the living room.
This took me 3 days to finish.  Our mantle is always decorated with pieces from my mothers huge collection of depression glass.... but i added the wreath the butterflies the flowers the sticks and the vases.
The sticks on the sides of the mantle were bought at my wholesaler and I painted them pink and then added all the butterflies to them.
reindeer moss was added to the vases to hold them in place.

The wreath in the center was made out of scrapbook paper like the one i made in a previous blog out of doilies.
The butterflies are also made out of scrapbook paper and cut free hand
again i made my own tissue flowers.
the butterflies i bought from everywhere. I probably bought over a hundred butterflies for the party. and they are stuck here and there across the mantle.

angle shots of the sides

It took me a month to plan and get together and i was working on everything until an hour before the party started.  All the planning and the work and its already over......
I had a fabulous time and thanks to everyone that pitched in.
